Our bulldogs LOVE coming here. Dr. Bob is a great vet, he has always been helpful. His approach and genuine caring for our Kids has been wonderful. We rescued a Bulldog three years ago, with more than a few health issues due to neglect, Dr. Bob took a very systematic approach to treating him and the results have been amazing. He truly cares about the animals he treats, and our little man is not a fan of going to the Vet, but he loves going to see Dr. Bob. Thank you Dr. Bob

What a great place!!! I am new to Austin and was looking for a Vet for my new fur baby and have found a place that we feel at home. I called and spoke with Red she was so nice and helpful and got me in the same day. I arrived and called letting them know I was here and they asked if I would like curbside or wait for a open room. I chose to wait for a room and the place is small but so homey and comfortable feeling like the old school Vets I've always had. Once in the room Sam the Vet Tech was awesome, nice and caring. Then I met with the Doctor and total old school, down to earth he was great he said I'm Bob wow he didn't introduce himself as Dr. So n So just simply Bob. The check out with Tera was smooth and again super nice, down to earth (she even reminded me of a friend back home for me another sign I chose the right place). I highly recommend taking your fur babies here it's refreshing to find a place that is all about "our pets" which is what it is all about. Thank you Best Vet for the great welcoming service today Austin Mina and I are very blessed. Austin Mina gives it two paws up.

Dr. Bob and Sam were generous with their time and answered all of our questions. We’ve been bringing our dogs to them for years and feel like they take great care of them.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Hardy (and his staff) and my experience at his vet clinic. For 2 years of living in Austin I was a client at VCA, and a member of their care club plan of $110 (dental senior plan) per month for my senior basset hound Juno whose 13 years old. VCA has always been (and continues to become very costly). I dreaded each of my visits. Juno had a mass growing between the toes of her front right paw. VCA examined her and said they would need to amputate the entire toe because of the size of the mass, which shocked me because I never thought chopping off my elderly dog's toe was the right solution. Dr. Broussard at VCA recommended I go to Central Vet Hospital for a second opinion because she felt she could NOT perform the removal of the 1.5 centimeter mass. Having visited Central Vet Hospital last year for a different ailment and spending $3000, I was panicked! We are all living on tight budgets considering the economy and outrageous rising costs of living in Austin. I did a Google search for Vet's that I wanted to get a second opinion from, and found BEST VET. The majority of the reviews were great, so I decided to bring Juno in for an exam and second opinion. I met with Dr. Hardy who is a very no nonsense, down to earth and knowledgeable Veterinarian. He was confused as to why VCA would recommend amputation when he felt he could remove the mass. I was nervous for Juno because she's an old girl but with much energy and life left in her. I was given two estimates. One was for the mass removal and the second was for the mass removal with dental added on because Juno would be under anesthesia anyway and was due for dental. Both estimates were explained to me carefully by the vet tech and were exceptionally reasonable in price compared to the other estimates I received. At no point did I feel pressured to add on unnecessary services as I did at VCA. I scheduled the surgery and dental cleaning a week later. Juno di

Excellent vet and service! I have been taking my boxer Yuri here for years. Dr. Bob is fantastic! Takes his time and shows great care. The pricing is very reasonable as well. Highly recommend. - Yonatan Pevzner and Yuri the boxer

I would never use anyone else other than Bob Hardy. He took such good care of our poodle Sparky all the way until he died. Now our puppy Jasper is going to Best Vet too. All staff is caring and wonderful!

Best Vet has by far given us the most fantastic experience and treatment for our dog Sadie for over 5 years. They are so caring and patient with her and have always gone above and beyond to make sure we were confident and reassured during scary situations. Sadie is 16 years young and they are always mindful in ensuring that she is comfortable and given the best options for her health. I cannot thank them enough for being so accommodating during stressful times, for always listening to our worries and actually addressing them. I have recommended them to all my family and friends, which a majority of them do come here and they have received the same stellar support. I cannot say thank you enough to the Best Vet team! Since both my cats were kittens they have been our preferred and favorite vet and have never had the need or thought to go anywhere else. They provide such professional, but exceptional care for our babies for the last couple years. Our Pemby cat is by far a really hard and difficult case when he has to go to the vet, but the Best Vet team are aware and always do their best to make sure he is well taken care of and safe. They understand that he is scared and only want the best for him which i have only ever experienced at this vet and makes me feel so grateful. Especially thank you Sam, he is wonderful with complex cats/pets and is so skilled in handling them safely and kindly and his attitude is always remarkable with them. Between the both of our cats, we have never had any complaints about their treatment, and billing has always been smooth and great. The entire team at Best Vet need a shoutout for their dedication and expertise.
